Eligibility

To receive a crib through the Justice4Joi Cribs for Kids program, families must meet the following criteria: 1. Infant Age: The baby must be under 12 months of age and not currently have access to a safe sleep space. 2. Need-Based: The family must demonstrate financial need or lack of resources to obtain a safe sleep environment on their own. 3. Primary Caregiver: The applicant must be the baby’s legal guardian or primary caregiver. 4. Completion of Safe Sleep Education: The caregiver must complete a brief safe sleep education session (in-person, virtual, or written), covering the ABCs of Safe Sleep (Alone, on their Back, in a Crib). 5. Residence: The family must reside in Mahoning County or surrounding service areas. 6. No Prior Crib Received: Only one crib may be provided per infant to avoid duplication.
