About The Mother's Odyssey

Postpartum support is scattered across healthcare, behavioral health, insurance, social services, employment, family, and community. The Mother's Odyssey brings it into one place so mothers and families can answer three practical questions: what am I experiencing, what support is available to me, and what should I do next?

Our principles

  • Warm, not clinical

Trustworthy and healthcare-informed, without feeling like a hospital portal.

  • Navigation, not diagnosis

We help you understand options and next steps; clinicians provide care.

  • Culturally responsive

Postpartum traditions are honored and described without treating any community as a monolith.

  • Action-oriented

Every major page answers one question: what can I do next?

  • Accessible by design

We target WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard navigation, strong contrast, alt text, and clear headings.

  • Built for families and the people around them

Mothers first, plus partners, family, providers, and advocates.

Who we serve

  • Postpartum mothers — understand what is normal, recognize when more help is needed, and find affordable support.
  • Partners and family — learn warning signs and offer help that is specific and genuinely useful.
  • Providers — one resource to hand a mother when she leaves your care.
  • Advocates and policymakers — accessible explanations of where postpartum support gaps sit.
